Installation
The ExpressWall top hat fixing system achieves a sleek, modern express-jointed aesthetic. This cladding system is both fast and economical to install.
Versatile and durable, this façade system suits a wide range of building types. Panels are pre-drilled and fixed to metal top hats with countersunk head screws. Gasket tape on vertical top hats enhances weather resistance, while a backing strip on horizontal joints minimises water ingress.
In a pressure equalised system, a cavity is created between the rigid air barrier and the cladding panels. Openings at the base and top of the façade allow for pressure equalisation, facilitating air circulation and drainage. This drying action helps reduce moisture penetration—a crucial factor in construction. By preventing moisture build-up, the system allows the building shell to dry out, promoting a healthier, more breathable building environment.
